About Our Team

Dr. Franzen is board certified to practice psychiatry and is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Additionally, he is board certified in addiction medicine and is a diplomat of the American Board of Preventative Medicine. He completed his residency training at the University of Hawaii and at the University Of Nebraska Medical Center. During his training, he was involved in neuroscience research at UNMC which utilized magnetoencephalography (MEG) and explored the neural underpinnings of psychiatric related disorders. Dr. Franzen has helped start and develop multiple addiction treatment programs with his previous work at other healthcare organizations.

Dr. Franzen has a special interest in addiction medicine and sports performance enhancement, and is the leading psychiatry expert at our Delray Beach mental health clinic.
